Whenever Dr Facilier is at the same location as the Cane, you can perform an action at an adjacent location. No sir, no Rule New Orleans for you! Your goal is to fulfill the evil scheme your Villain was trying to accomplish in the movie they are from - whoever does this first, wins! Just like Dr Facilier’s villain song says, “The cards, the cards, just take three” from your Fortune Pile that is. (Hah!).

They’ll get blocked by Heroes! Like with the Rule New Orleans card, only put the Talisman into play when you can use it.

Fortune: Lose 2 Power, then discard Shadow Spirits. The only cards you have to help you scry through your Villain deck and look for one of the cards you need to win. It’s the same with the Talisman. The Bayou’s 3 Power is a tempting location to start on, but you must resist unless you already have the winning cards! Turn a Hero into a frog! Put Friends on the Other Side into the Fortune pile. Some cards can’t be played into the Fortune Pile these are clearly marked. If you’re Fated along the way, try to keep that Fortune Pile as slim as possible and only vanquish Heroes if you need to get the Talisman back. Not only does your Fortune pile potentially increase with terrible cards (your opponents won’t put good ones in there! This is perfect if they have just stolen the Talisman from you. Weakening heroes isn’t a huge priority for Dr Facilier, but it is useful because your allies are generally weak. It’s effectively the third card you need to win. The other winning card! Like all the Disney Villainous villains, Dr Facilier has 30 cards in his villain deck. Just like in The Princess and the Frog, Dr Facilier has a tenuous relationship with the spirits that give him his power.

Perfect if you’ve discarded The Talisman or Rule New Orleans or if you’ve used up all your The Cards Will Tell cards! To win, you need it in your possession when you activate Rule New Orleans. It’s just like being Fated again.

Fortune: Same Ability, then discard Sleight of Hand. Otherwise, your opponents will keep taking it from you and you’ll need to waste turns and power defeating Heroes to get it back!
