Our damson and sloe gin is not the thick ultra sweet variety. There isn’t a crop to touch them! I always use well washed out plastic milk bottles, the 2 litre ones so plenty of sloshing around room.

Initially I used a very old recipe and changed natural yeast for champagne yeast. Please post your result after seeing Diana.
